I came across Toy State toys while attending my first blog conference. Being the Mother of two boys I knew these tough and ultra-cool toys were exactly what my boys would love. Sure, you can find several brands of car or truck toys on the market, but none like Toy State!
I had an opportunity to review two popular vehicles from their Road Rippers collection. The Ripp collection includes a fleet of custom-designed vehicles that include multiple play functions, lights & sound fun, and all the best licensed and custom body styles. This collection is sure to keep playtime rollin’ all day long!
One of the styles we reviewed from the Road Rippers line are the Come-Back Racers. These are available in four models: Ford Mustang 5.0 (featured above) plays the song Radar Love, Dodge Ram playing Free Ride, Toyota Tundra playing Move It On Over and the one we reviewed Chevy Camaro playing Taking Care of Business.
Here are some of the features of the Come-Back Racers:
- Race off and roll on back
- This toy takes you from the starting line to the pits, with motorized forward drive and classic come-back feature
- A “light tree” button panel triggers lights, realistic sounds, vocals and great licensed music
I am personally a Ford fan, but all of these look sweet for toy cars! The boys could not wait for me to open the package so they could play. Baby boy loved the car and personally I thought it was the best one suited for him. Although the Road Rippers are meant for age 3 and up, the Come-Back Racers race off and roll back to you making it easy for my 1 and 1/2 year old to use.
Pardon my munchkin who prefers not to wear clothes 🙂
The buttons are really large and easily accessible on top of the vehicles. When you press the music symbol the Camaro plays the song Taking Care of Business and actually “dances” as it plays. It’s really neat! It also looks really cool when it lights up. There’s not much that can keep my lil guys’ attention for long and this car can do that!
The other style we reviewed was the Wheelie Monster. These are available in four models: Bigfoot, Rammunition, Raminator and the one we received Snake Bite.
Here are some of the features of the Wheelie Monster:
- Realistic monster motor sounds, arena rockin’ songs and motorized driving
- Wheelie action will really get the crowd going
My four-year old loves his Wheelie Monster. It rides across the room then does wheelies and it really does sound like a monster truck. When asked what he loves most about his Road Rippers he says, “I like racing them.” It’s true he enjoys racing the cars and he can spend quite some time doing it. We’ve had the Road Rippers for several weeks and they are still actively playing with both so I think these toys are a keeper for sure!
Both Toy State Road Rippers are available at Amazon and at the time of this review the Wheelie Monsters were priced at $16.99 and the Come-Back Racers were priced at $19.99. You can also pick them up in-store at Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Target and Kmart.
I am SUPER excited to tell my readers that they have also agreed to a giveaway! That’s right, one lucky My Boys and Their Toys fan will win their very own Road Rippers vehicle! And for the record, both of these toys come with a mute option. 🙂
Disclosure: All opinions are my own and may differ from yours. I received the above items for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received. Thank You to Child’s Play for the review & giveaway item.
