15 Minute Summer Bridge Activities for Kids
With Carson Dellosa Education Summer Bridge workbooks it is so easy to incorporate 15 minutes of learning into daily activities over the summer break. It’s a great way to prepare your child for the upcoming school year.
We’ve created a quick video below with more details:
Summer months offer children a much-needed break from the long school hours but it’s also important to keep their skills sharp so they don’t slide back upon entering the new school year. Doing just 15 minutes of learning lessons a day in topics like reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and more, allows your child to stay engaged.
L is moving into fourth grade, so the workbook we chose for him is designed to review third-grade skills and preview the skills he will learn in fourth grade. Because everything is included in the workbook, it’s convenient for taking on the go during summer travels. As you saw in the video above, he was able to do this activity workbook in the car during a recent road trip. He also completed a quick lesson during a stop for lunch.
Incorporating these summer bridge activities at home is a breeze too. He completes a lesson while sitting down for lunch, or if we’ve had a busy day, he’s able to work on a lesson while I’m making dinner.
Another reason I love these workbooks is that it offers the opportunity for L’s older brother to help him, should he need assistance. It’s great for sibling bonding!
The Summer Bridge Activities workbooks include flashcards and stickers for monthly goal setting. As well as bonus outdoor learning experiences like hands-on projects at the end of each section. You can also visit their website for free activities too! Carson Dellosa Education award-winning series of workbooks are a top resource for continuing education outside of the classroom. Many of the workbooks are under $15 too and come highly recommended by my principal husband!
