This Valentine’s Day Chex Mix Recipe is super simple and full of flavor. It’s also really fun for the kids to help with, especially when adding the Valentine’s candy!
You will need:
- 6 cups Rice Chex
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 cup pretzels
- 1 cup M&M’s
- 1 cup heart candy
- sprinkles (optional)
For the sauce you will need:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup Light Karo syrup
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla

In a large bowl, mix together, cereal, coconut, nuts, pretzels, and Valentine’s candy. Set aside to make sauce.
In a medium sauce pan add, sugar, butter and Karo. Over medium heat slowing melt butter and blend ingredients together. Stir while heating. Once it comes to a boil cook for 2 minutes. Take off heat add Vanilla, Pour over the top of cereal mixture in bowl, stir till all cereal is well coated.
Next pour mix on a greased cookie sheet, and top with sprinkles if you want. Let cool, then store in zip lock bag, and enjoy!
This would even make a great Valentine’s Day treat for classrooms. Just scoop some of the mix into baggies and tie with a ribbon.
