Looking for creative holiday recipe ideas that are simple and budget-friendly. Try this Alpha-Bits Chocolate Mint Muddy Buddies recipe. I have to warn you – it is addicting! It makes a perfect snack for family gatherings, kid play dates, and is worthy enough to be a dessert option this Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Here’s what you’ll need to make the Chocolate Mint Muddy Buddies:
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of Post Alpha-Bits Cereal
- 1 (4.6 ounce) box of chocolate mints
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- sprinkles
Directions:
First, pour 3 cups of Alpha-Bits cereal into a medium-sized bowl. Pour the cup of powdered sugar into a large ziplock bag and set aside. Unwrap and melt the chocolate mints (think Olive Garden dessert mints) in the microwave. I did (2) 30 second increments, stopping to stir in between. Once completely melted pour melted mints over the cereal.
Gently stir the chocolate until the Alpha-Bits cereal is completely coated. Next, add the coated cereal to the ziplock bag, seal and shake until well mixed.
Top the muddy buddies with festive sprinkles and voila! You have a delicious snack or dessert option everyone will love!
Post Alpha-Bits is healthy and educational, including all 26 alphabet letters for letter learning fun. The multigrain cereal includes 12 essential vitamins and minerals and has no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors. You can find Alpha-Bits at your local Walmart store.
