I am a born and raised Floridian. When the temperatures drop below 60 degrees I become a hermit of sorts. But that doesn’t mean I stop doing fun things indoors, like baking! Instead of making cinnamon rolls the traditional way, the boys and I made snowman sweet rolls!
How to make snowman sweet rolls
- Open a package of sweet rolls and place the rolls on a baking sheet.
- Begin by placing 1 full roll on the baking sheet. For the second roll, remove a small portion of the rolls’ outer layer and set aside. Place that roll on top of another to begin building your snowman.
- Next, use the small dough piece set aside to create a scarf for the snowman. Then, remove a larger portion of the top roll so it’s smaller than the other two.
- Place that roll on top of the other two, and use the remaining dough to craft a hat for the snowman.
- Bake as directed on the packaging.
While the sweet rolls are baking, I whipped up this killer cream cheese icing recipe. It takes just a few minutes to make and is seriously delicious.

Measurements with easy to follow printable directions are available at the bottom of this post.
Ingredients
- 4 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar

Directions
- Soften the cream cheese by whipping it in your mixer on a low setting for approximately 1 minute.

Once the rolls have cooled enough we spread the cream cheese icing over them, followed by chocolate chips, orange tic-tacs, and bacon to form a face and buttons for the snowman.
We paired our snowman sweet rolls with an assortment of fruit, bacon slices, and Florida orange juice. I also added the included apple cinnamon mixture from the Pepperidge Farm package to the remaining sweet rolls. The boys and I had a blast creating a special breakfast and eating it!
