I was invited by Disney to cover this press event. Expenses were paid, however all opinions are my own.
Dreams really do come true with Disney! I’m home from LA and have so much to share with all of you. One of the most exciting parts about this press event was The Good Dinosaur Red Carpet Premiere – and after party too! I’ll share more on that in just a bit.
As I walked the brightly lit dino path and made my way through the crowd, I spotted a few celebs along the way. Everyone is smiling and chatting with different media outlets. I saw Marcus and Raymond talking about their latest “kicks”, both young actors voice characters in the film – out Thanksgiving week.
I had an opportunity to interview Raymond Ochoa, who plays Arlo in the film, and Marcus Scribner who plays his brother Buck. I’ll be sharing all the details about that interview soon.
I also had a chance to chat with Blackish star, Yara Shahidi, who was really looking forward to seeing The Good Dinosaur. Fellow blogger Rebecca and I took a picture with her before she made her way to the theater.
After watching the film I noticed Anna Paquin signing autographs and taking selfies with fans in the crowd. Once inside the after party, I had the opportunity to meet her and take a picture of my own. She noticed my kids picture on my phone case and mentioned how sweet they looked. That was a cool moment!
Although I’ve been lucky enough to attend a few red carpet premieres, this was my first after party I was invited to. The dino themed party was dimly lit and crowded. It was neat to see celebs and their families in a relaxed environment. Everyone was dining on quinoa salad and chicken and steak kabobs. The DJ was playing some great pop music as The Good Dinosaur played on a few screens around him. There was a fun crafting station for kids and gaming station as well. The back room hosted many of the celebs and Pixar entertainment greatness. It was such an exciting evening!
Here’s our group picture on the Oscars staircase before heading into the premiere.
I have tons more to share in upcoming posts, including a review of The Good Dinosaur soon. For now, here’s a look at the latest movie trailer:
Have you ever wanted to attend a Red Carpet Premiere? If so, for which film?
