Smartphones, tablets, television, computers, and gaming systems….today’s society is inundated with technology. And while it can be helpful in many ways, digital life can also be distracting. Many times parents and kids alike are buried in some sort of technology or social media app, which can create quite an obstacle for families everywhere. Connecting with your kids (at any age) is important, which is why we’ve joined the #UnPlugNPlay movement.
Killerspin is the world’s only luxury table tennis experience brand, and creators of UnPlugNPlay. We were excited to team up with them for some killer fun with their ping pong tables! We received the MyT Lee and MyT Street Edition tables for review.
Ping pong is one of Nate’s favorite games to play, but we didn’t own a table. When my brother lived with us (before our sons were born), the guys made their own makeshift version using my dining room table. Yea – that didn’t fly for long. 😉 Nate couldn’t wait to show off our new tables and brought along the very portable MyT Lee to my Dad’s so he could have a long overdue rematch with my brother.
It’s easy to put down the technology and spend a few minutes each night playing ping pong with the family. Nate was so excited to introduce the boys to one of his favorite childhood games. Since Killerspin provided us with two tables, we have a mini version perfect for the boys and their friends, plus an outdoor full-sized table that’s even waterproof! The boys are having such a blast learning the game and upping their ping pong skills. When friends visited recently, the Killerspin MyT Lee table was the first thing J showed off to them.
Anyone can join the movement – no excuses! Just set aside 15 minutes out of your busy day to do something as a family. If you have a ping pong table – great! Dust off the table and get to work. Create a family tournament and have some fun. Beyond the strong family ties UnPlugNPlay helps create, ping pong also helps sharpen the mind, increase hand eye coordination and burn calories, while being low impact and inclusive of all levels of physical ability.
Free Kids Reward Printable
Because kids like to work towards a goal and be rewarded for a job well done, I created these fun reward coupons. Now anytime the boys win a game, or choose to UnPlugNPlay in some other way, they get a reward. The rewards are simple enough that they won’t break the bank either. Check out the fun options below, and click the image to download your printable version.
Rain or shine the MyT Street Edition ping pong table is the perfect way to spend some quality family time together. It takes just a few minutes to unfold and play – even allowing for one side to fold for a 1 player game. Both sides fold up, allowing for easy storage anywhere. We couldn’t be more pleased with the #Killerspin tables. Look out for a more in-depth review from Nate coming soon!
Do you and your family need to #UnPlugNPlay?

We definitely stay unplugged at dinner time and the kids stay unplugged most of the day with a little TV mixed it.

Every time we go on vacation we always play ping-pong. I love playing active games with my children because it allows them to workout, spend some good family time, and the laughs are the best. We totally need one.

Hey my kid is in this post. 🙂 We went over to Minet’s today so that Jason and Spencer could ride the dune buggy and play outside. Getting them off the computer (especially Jason) is so important to me.

We bought a ping pong table a few years ago. My husband and our oldest play some pretty competitive games on it. We have it out when our friends and their kids come over. It’s a great way to burn off some energy. I’m really liking the mini one!

That’s awesome!
