Sometimes life can be so distracting, don’t you think? I can’t believe we’re in the thick of summer already. It seems like life is so eager to move on by, but we have to remind ourselves to be present and remember the moments that are gone too soon. Dads this post is for you! It’s a reminder to make those memorable father-son moments before the kids are grown. The time is now to nurture and build upon that relationship so it can sustain the long haul called life.
Father-Son Moments
The other day I asked Nate to let the kids join him in the bathroom. Shaving is a routine he does daily (yes he has that 5 o’clock shadow every day), poor guy. I wanted to capture the sweet moment between the boys and their dad. You can tell by their faces – they were simply elated to rub shaving cream all over his face, and then learn the manly duties of shaving.
Each boy hopped up on the bathroom counter to take their turn learning about the importance of a smooth shave. It was so fun to watch them giggle, and Nate squirm a bit. After all, they were using a very sharp object near his face. 😉 But that father-son moment will be one I know gets stored in their memory bank for safe keeping. I’m so glad I could be apart of it too!
Other memorable father-son moments every child should experience at least once:
- Learning how to ride a bike
- Playing catch
- Teaching him how to fish
- Dad cheering on his first sporting event
- Teaching him to drive
- Dad teaching him how to cook/grill
Okay, so there’s your nudge dads! Go make those memorable moments – and don’t forget to capture them on camera too. Your kids will thank you later.
Oh, and if you’re looking for the smoothest shave, try Gillette® Mach3® Signature Edition Razors. You can be 100% redness-free, it’s possible with Mach3®! We found a great deal on the Gillette razors and Fusion Proglide shaving gel at Costco stores. Nate gives these products two thumbs up!
