30-Day Walking Challenge
What are the benefits of a walking challenge?
A walking challenge can provide a variety of benefits for both physical and mental health. Physically, regular walking can improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, and increase muscle strength and endurance. It can also aid in weight management, as it is a low-impact form of exercise that can be done for long periods of time.
10,000 steps a day is the recommended count for the average American – more if you want to drop weight. With this 30-day steps challenge, you will double that, and see the pounds drop!
Mentally, walking can also have a positive effect on overall well-being. It can reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and boost cognitive function. Engaging in a walking challenge can also provide a sense of accomplishment, as it sets a specific goal for individuals to work towards and track their progress. Additionally, walking in nature can also have a positive impact on mental health, as it allows an individual to disconnect from technology and daily stressors.
By the end of 30 days, you will be walking 20,000 steps. Yes, that’s totally doable with our walking challenge! Find that positive mindset to push yourself and reach your goals. You can do this!
Here’s what you’ll need to reach your health goals:

- Good walking shoes
- A fitness tracker
It’s often said that you’ll have better luck reaching your fitness goals if you have an accountability partner. It’s always more fun too! So grab a friend, your significant other, your mom, or whomever you wish, and get moving. With our 30-day steps challenge printable, you’ll check off each day you meet your steps goal. We’ll push you to keep moving those step counts up, and give you rest days too.
Additionally, it’s very important to stay hydrated, so be sure to grab water before you head out the door. Of course, if the weather doesn’t permit for outside walking, use a treadmill if you have one, or head to a place where you can walk indoors like a mall. Throughout the day, use the stairs instead of an elevator to reach those step goals, park your car farther from the door at work, and look for other ways to increase your steps each day.
20,000 steps are completely possible – I’ve done it many, many times! Once you’ve reached your 20,000 steps goal in 30 days, you can work to maintain that step count, or increase it – it’s up to you!
Start the new year with an achievable workout routine that will benefit your health while helping you shed some weight too. You are just 30 days to a better you! Don’t forget to click the image above to print your free walking challenge printable.
