What do guys want? Most men are about three things: food, sports, and something else, but we’ll keep this PG. Many times we get stuck with gifts like t-shirts or neck ties year after year. So next time you go shopping for your man try going for something that fits into his three favorite things.
Think about creating a “just for him” coupon book and make sure there are no expiration dates. Another great idea is a sports jersey from his favorite player. Football season is here and what guy wouldn’t want to don his team’s jersey while watching the game. Is golf more his speed? Find out where his favorite golf course is and set him up to play a round with his buddies. Men need man days, just like ladies need a girls night out, now and then. Any of these options is sure to impress your significant other.
Another option is getting a recipe for his favorite dish from the restaurant you frequent and creating the meal at home. Make a romantic evening out of it, and save money in the process. Or sign up for a cooking class and learn how to create a dish together.
Last but not least, men want to smell good. And since all we really want to do is impress our significant others, help him out by picking out a discount cologne that you really like. This gift will not only make him feel loved, but you too will benefit with a scent you enjoy.
Hopefully these basic ideas will help inspire the perfect gift for your man, especially with the holidays right around the corner.

It does seem hard to buy for my husband sometimes. His birthday is next month I need to start thinking about this now.

My husband likes Ansel Adams so I got him a framed print that looked similar to his work. (I couldn’t afford the real thing) It ended up being of a lake that he visited from his childhood and brought back great memories and happy tears.

My husband loves getting tech gifts. 🙂

My husband is tougher than this–already owning every tool known to man, and having a man fort in addition to a man cave. He also doesn’t play golf. I have my work cut out for me;)

My husband would be happy with some time alone to tinker. So we let him have that for a few hours on the weekend. It’s usually a great thing because he’s usually tinkering on things for the house!

Buying gifts for my husband is rather hard (he’s not into sports, doesn’t wear ties and all that either), but since he’s picked up playing the guitar I finally had something of interest to buy him last year. I like the coupon idea. Might have to try that one. 🙂

We do the coupon books but I have learned to do expiry dates….or else he will be pulling those coupons 20 years later… LOL Oh and the restaurant one would work great for my hubby.
