Air Hogs, the leader in remote control vehicles has pitted two of their coolest remote control vehicles against each other: the Hypertrax and Hyper Actives 5. They are asking fans, “who do you think will win the Hyper Race?” Not only does our family love a good challenge, but we enjoy spending time outdoors. We were excited to give these two Hyper Air Hogs cars a test drive!
Air Hogs Remote Control Vehicles
The Hyper Actives 5 is a 5 wheel stunt vehicle that flips over and keeps going. J loved how he could bounce it off of an object and it would flip all over the place but never stop. This vehicle does not need to be charged because it requires 3 triple A batteries in the vehicle and 3 triple A batteries for the car. Once you pop the batteries in you are ready to go. The Hyper Actives 5 is perfectly named because it is great for any hyperactive child!
The Hypertrax can flip over and drive on both sides. It is also an all-terrian vehicle, so you can drive it through your yard and it will continue driving. One feature that I really liked was its ability to do continuous 360s. The vehicle is easy to control and can take punishment. I ran it into a wall and it just flipped and kept right on going. The Hypertrax requires 8 double A batteries in the controller and there is a cable that connects from the remote control to the all-terrain vehicle for charging.
Below is a video I took of one of our family fun experiences with the Air Hogs Hypertrax and Hyper Actives 5 remote control vehicles:
As you can see in the video, our little guy loved chasing the cars and couldn’t stop giggling, while our newly turned 6-year-old had great control operating the remote control vehicles.
Both vehicles are a lot of fun to play with and have their individual benefits. The Hypertrax can go off-road and do 360’s, but the charge does not last as long as the Hyper Actives 5. The Hyper Actives 5 can do stunts and drive on 3 wheels, which is pretty cool. Any way you go you can’t lose with Air Hog’s newest remote control vehicles. They are sure to bring out the hyperactiveness in any child as you can tell from the video 🙂
Who do you think will win the Hyper Race? Find out for yourself! Both Hyper vehicles can be purchased at Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, and amazon.com.

We got the Hypertrax for my son for his birthday and he LOVES playing with it. So much so that when we went to go get his cousin a gift for his birthday he insisted on getting him one… in a different color, of course.

These seem fun for everyone. Also, I like that they aren’t too too big. They seem easy to maneuver, and obviously are great fun!
Jennifer H says
Yes, they are far from bulky. I think that helps with their speed.:)
