I was invited as media to cover this press event. All opinions are my own.
You’ve been following the exclusive coverage all week, and now it’s time for the Ant-Man movie review! It’s timed perfectly with the release of the film in theaters everywhere today.
Growing up a big fan of Marvel comics, I was never really an Ant-Man fan. While going to the newest installment of the Marvel Universe, I was hoping that it would be good. Like most of the world, I was pleasantly surprised by Guardians of the Galaxy and was hoping that Ant-Man would live up to the Marvel hype. I have been lucky enough to see the film twice already, and am happy to report that it far surpassed my expectations! Not being familiar with the character I thought it was the best origin story since Iron Man.
The cast of Ant-Man is amazingly talented and Paul Rudd does a fantastic job bringing life to Ant-Man. The movie is family friendly and is full of laughter. Unlike Avengers, this movie does not focus on overloading the audience with intense action scenes. It focuses on the relationship between fathers and daughters. Don’t get me wrong the action was awesome and the effects where really cool too. I especially liked how he could control his size during fight scenes and how it gave him an advantage over anyone who stepped up to face him. But this movie had a good story and made you root for the hero throughout.
There are a couple of unexpected surprises in the film, and that’s all I can say for now. It is well worth staying past BOTH credits for even cooler Marvel news! 😉

So happy to hear it was good! I love Marvel as well and never really cared for Ant-Man comics, so when the kids saw the previews I admittedly groaned to myself. Can’t wait to catch it with the kids now.
