Do you have the itch to take a much-needed vacation? I have the perfect recommendation for your getaway, the Hilton Orlando Florida Resort! The property is centrally located in the heart of Orlando’s attraction area, and offers world-class amenities including a lazy river and abundance of private pool cabanas! This weekend our family enjoyed a staycation at the Hilton Orlando to experience all this amazing resort has to offer. Read on for details on why you should book your stay here too!
This review is in partnership with Hilton Orlando. All opinions are my own.
Hilton Orlando Florida
Conveniently located off I-Drive, the Hilton Orlando Resort provides a hidden oasis among the hustle and bustle of the busy Orlando city life. Just steps from the Orlando Convention Center, the property boasts more than 1400 rooms and suites. If you’re planning a few days at the Orlando theme parks, you’ll want to book an extra day or two just to relax and unwind at the resort’s lavish pool area. It is worth it!
Hilton Orlando Florida Hotel Amenities
Among the wonderful hotel amenities available at Hilton Orlando Florida, the lavish zero-entry pool with waterslide and lazy river were our favorites. Here’s what else you can expect there:
- Quiet pool (adult only) with whirlpool
- Two pool area fire pits
- Full-service spa & salon
- 24-hr. fitness center
- 9-hole putting green
- ¼ mile jogging track
- NEW! Splash Pad opening Memorial Day Weekend
Book a Private Cabana!
If you plan to spend the entire day outdoors soaking in the Florida sunshine, I highly recommend one of their poolside cabanas. It’s a great way to cool off and unwind when you need a break from the heat. Here’s what the private cabanas include:
- Ceiling fans
- 37″ LCD HD TVs with ports
- Refrigerators
- Wired and wireless high-speed internet access
- Card table with 2 chairs
- 2 chaise loungers
- Privacy curtains
- Poolside service for beverages and dining
- Cabana reservation includes one fresh fruit basket and choice of six beverages (water or soda)
The cabanas are rentable from 8am – 10pm.
The Lazy River
Like I mentioned above, the Hilton Orlando lazy river is a great way to play! The provided tubes allow you to float the day away while listening to the relaxing sounds of waterfalls. The entire lazy river is only 3 feet in depth, making even the youngest swimmers feel safe in the water.
Our boys couldn’t get enough of the lazy river! These smiles are what family vacations are all about. And while I’m typically behind the camera, I did snap at least one selfie of me enjoying the winding river. I couldn’t have captured such awesome memories without my Aquavault Waterproof Phone Case – it’s a lifesaver!
Family Pool and Waterslide
The kids will love the waterslide too! The resort offers a handful of life vests for those that feel less confident in the water as well. As a parent, I really appreciated that feature!
Hilton Recreational Courts
There are a variety of recreational courts available on the property including, volleyball, tennis, basketball and bocce ball. The basketball court was very popular among kids of all ages.
Lawn Games
Tucked away behind the basketball court is an open lawn space with a variety of games like checkers, disc golf, corn hole and more! And by the outdoor bar and grill, you’ll find a pool table and foosball.
Orlando Splash Activities
In addition to the wonderful amenities the resort offers, from now through Labor Day, the Hilton Convention Center Hotel is offering Orlando Splash! This poolside celebration is filled with exciting opportunities like poolside games, contests, crafts and more! My little guy made an emoji sand necklace for just $3, and in the evening, our family made S’mores by the poolside fire pits.
If you’re looking for the perfect destination to enjoy a vacation – Hilton Orlando Florida Resort is like no other! You might be skipping right along with your kids as you make your way to your room each night. There’s so much to keep you entertained right there at the resort.
Guest Rooms
Speaking of rooms, Hilton Orlando has a variety of rooms available from standard to Presidential Suites. We spent the weekend in a double bed standard room which included a desk, sitting chair, and television. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. On the 14th floor at the end of the hall is a door that leads to a large balcony where you can spot the SeaWorld theme parks including Aquatica, and the Orlando Eye!
Dining
There are several places to dine at Hilton Orlando including:
• Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops
• David’s Club Bar & Grill
• The Bistro
• Tropics Pool Bar & Grill
• The 24-hr. Marketplace
• In-Room Dining
• Lobby Bar
Each morning we dined at The Bistro breakfast buffet which offers omelets, danishes, fruit, and a variety of hot breakfast favorites. You can also special order pancakes, waffles and french toast with toppings of your choice with the waiter. I highly recommend the strawberry fields salad and burgers at the Tropics pool bar and grill.
Nothing says vacation like a fire pit and S’mores right?!
I hope you enjoyed this Hilton Orlando Review!
