Three words: banana foster beignets. That alone is worth the trip to Busch Gardens Mardi Gras celebration! In addition to all the amazing things you can do at Busch Gardens Tampa, this special event happening now through Feb 16th offers live music, delicious food, and more!
I was invited as media to cover this event. All opinions are my own.
Busch Gardens Mardi Gras
Let the good times roll! Busch Gardens Mardi Gras and all its French-Quarter flair are happening every weekend through mid-February (including select Friday and Monday nights too). Located towards the back of the park, the open-air festivities begin at noon and offer live music, street performers with festival beads, delicious Cajun cuisine, and cocktail classics too.
What’s even better is that this special event is included with admission! We highly recommend getting a food and beverage sampler card to save money.
Remember, in order to manage park capacity, guests are required to make a reservation in addition to their admission.
There are 10 food and beverage stops within the Mardi Gras event but nothing beats the rum glazed banana foster beignets! They are seriously the best!
Don’t miss cocktails like the punch hurricane located within a shop nearby. If you have a food and beverage sampler card you won’t receive the souvenir cup, but it’s well worth the stop.
Other food favorites to look out for include jambalaya with frozen cocktails like daiquiri’s and margaritas, as well as po’boys and the waffle cone sundae. Trust me – you’ll be stuffed! Since Busch Gardens Mardi Gras lasts several hours, I recommend pacing yourself and definitely hit the rides beforehand.
Of course with safety in mind, you’ll need a mask when not eating and drinking, and social distancing is key. We really enjoyed the New Orleans inspired event and know you will too!
Be sure to check the calendar to plan your visit to the theme park.

since i love to eat this is the place for me to visit. Banana beignets sound wonderful and a waffle cone is always a nice way to end a meal.
