Summer is almost here! There’s nothing like a fun family project to get everyone excited for the summer fun. Today I’m sharing an easy DIY craft: how to make a wreath. More specifically, a summer door wreath. Here’s what you’ll need to get started!
Summer Wreath Supplies:
- 16″ Metal Wreath Frame
- Assortment of summer flowers in turquoise, white, yellow and green
- Green grapevine wire
- Wire cutters
- Door wreath hanger
Using a wire cutter, separate the bouquets into single or double stems. I found these floral arrangements at Hobby Lobby. I started with my favorite flowers first and placed them on the metal wreath frame. The flowers all have wire in them so I wrapped them tightly around the frame. If it needed extra support, I snipped off a piece of green grapevine wire and wrapped that around the bent stems.
Once you have all of your flowers in place where you’d like them, use the extra greenery leaves to hide any stems or wire frame from peeking through. Finally, using a few inches of grapevine wire, attach that to the top of the wreath. It’s now ready to hang on the door hanger and display a beautiful arrangement for all of your guests to admire.

This came out so nice. I used to have a nice outside front door and loved making wreaths. It would be fun to make one like this for an inside wall, since I don’t have an outside door anymore.
