Having a missing child can be a nightmare! With Buddy Tag’s features, you can locate your child within seconds of them disappearing from your presence. The Buddy Tag app is free to download and can easily be paired with your child’s wristband. Once activated you can add your email address for additional alerts, including an email warning with your child’s last coordinates. This was especially helpful for me earlier this week when J went beyond our yard without asking permission. My phone began sounding with an alert warning followed by an email seconds later with the coordinates and google map link to the exact location he was last seen at.

Within the app you can change the alarm sound with a few different choices. When pairing your child’s wristband you can add their name to your device if you have more than one child with a wristband. I also like the panic button feature which is located on the top of the band. This allows a child to press the button whenever they feel uncomfortable whether in private or in public. This sounds an alarm on the phone immediately so you can take action.

A new feature that I find extremely valuable is the water safety feature. If your child were to fall into water and not know how to swim, within 10 seconds of being submerged under water an alarm sounds on your phone. Every second matters in moments like that!

The band comes with a unique locking system so it’s not easily removed by your child or someone else. The locking method on the band takes a bit of getting used to, but since it’s waterproof there’s not many reasons to remove the band that often. My boys shower and bathe with their bands on without any issue. Typically when inside the home I unpair the devices to save on battery life as well.
