Disney’s “Flora & Ulysses” is a delightful comedy-adventure based on the Newberry Award-winning book about 10-year old Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic, whose parents have recently separated. After rescuing a squirrel she names Ulysses, Flora is amazed to discover he possesses unique superhero powers which take them on an adventure of humorous complications that ultimately change Flora’s life–and her outlook–forever.

Ulysses is a super squirrel! The two become fast friends when they need each other most. Flora’s mother doesn’t want her spending another summer at home alone. When she rescues a squirrel that she brings back to life, they take on some wonderful adventures.

She soon learns that Ulysses possesses unique superhero powers like understanding her, flying, and he can type poetry too! But he needs some encouragement to believe in himself and Flora is just the person to help!

While Flora’s parents may be estranged, they are both a big part of the film. She has a particularly sweet relationship with her dad, George, who is down in the dumps and has given up on his dreams as a comic storyteller, but when Flora confides in George about her super squirrel, you begin to see a change in him.

This fun-loving adventurous tale is too good to pass up. So grab your family and favorite movie snacks then settle in for this family-friendly film releasing on Disney+ this week!
