Florida has year-round warm weather, which makes it the perfect place for harvesting crops. It’s also the only place I’ve called home. Eating healthy comes easy when you can enjoy seasonal fruits and veggies at your local supermarket and farmers market any time of year. Just look for the Fresh From Florida label on your favorite produce! Read on for more details on how we incorporate local produce in our daily lives, and check out the upcoming spring seasonal produce list I’ve created for you.

Fresh From Florida
Florida is called the Sunshine State for a reason. Farmers are able to provide year-round produce for everyone. Just look for food, produce, and seafood labeled Fresh From Florida. I always look for the label so I know that I’m supporting our local businesses and economy.
Our family enjoys delicious, colorful favorites like blueberries, peppers and tomatoes during the winter season. Blueberries offer a ton of benefits like fiber, vitamin c, and potassium, plus they go great with desserts like cheesecake. My little guy has a known nickname – he’s a “fruitatarian.” Since the moment L was able to eat table food, he’s always gravitated towards fresh berries and other fruits. L asks for fruit with every meal, so we always keep the fridge stocked.
Tomatoes and peppers are perfect additions to many dishes likes salads, shrimp skewers, and stir-fry recipes.
Recently, the boys and I had some fun using our seasonal produce to make fruity pizzas. I’ll be sharing that recipe with you guys in an upcoming post!
We’re almost through the winter season, so I wanted to provide a list of upcoming spring seasonal produce you can look out for. Check out the list below.

My family loves both fruits and vegetables. I’m very thankful that they do also. Those snap beans had my attention in the above picture. That has to be my favorite thing ever to eat! Nothing like a boiler full of fresh ones cooked with new potatoes!
