About SummerFest at Gaylord Palms
Celebrate Princess Priscilla Blackheart’s elevation to ruler of the pirate kingdom! Guests are welcomed to join in the adventures through the following events:
Princess Priscilla’s Coronation Character Breakfast
Meet Captain Blackheart, the Pirate King, and his daughter, Princess Priscilla, who is to be the new ruler of the Pirate Kingdom. You’ll also meet the infamous Captain Pat Beeks and his singing cabin boy, Jonny Stranger, who have come to pay their respects to the new sovereign, too. Or, have they? Join them for an awesome extravaganza with equal parts danger, delight and deliciousness.
Some of the delicious eats you’ll find at the Moor restaurant, located in the Key West atrium, are pastries, a waffle making station with toppings galore, shrimp & grits and a variety of other breakfast foods.
Enjoy this themed breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings 8-11 am.
Merfolk Academy
Ever dream of swapping your feet for a fabulous fin and swimming beneath the sea? At the Merfolk Academy, guests can leave their sea legs on the shore and immerse themselves in an underwater adventure. Swimmable mermaid/merman tales & shark fins are available for guests of all ages.
Join the fun at Cypress Springs pool Friday-Sunday at 9:30 and 10:45 am.
The boys loved completing challenges in the water with their shark fin and tale. Your kids will flip over this underwater fun!
SoBe Splash Party
Enjoy pool games, dance pARRRties and epic lip sync battles suitable for a Pirate king. This is also located at the Cypress Springs pool from noon-4 pm. The very clever Pirate Blackheart MC’s the party, so you won’t want to miss the action! While there – kids can enjoy the onsite water park with multiple slides, pool basketball hoops and much more. It will be hard to get the kids out of the water with all the fun they’re having!
ARRRts & Crafts
Create your very own festive eye patch, Princess tiara, Pirate garb and more! If you are up for the ultimate artistic challenge –compete in the Pirate contest. Visit the Celebration Room at the Arcade Thursday-Sunday from noon-4 pm.
The boys and I had the best time making our pirate swords!
Stop by Wreckers Sports Bar for delicious grub the whole family will love. As you dine, you can watch the other guests compete in Y’ARRRd Games on the Coquina Lawn.
Y’ARRRd Games
Step ashore and compete in giant games on the beautiful Coquina Lawn, like life-size Jenga, Checkers, Connect Four, Basketball, Bowling and Corn Hole.
Pirate Stories & Chanties Under the Stars
Climb upon the story time ship, the Siren’s Song, and listen to the tall tales of the seven seas. Join Princess Priscilla as she embarks upon the perils and pleasures of becoming the first female Pirate Captain. This high energy show involves theatrics, chanties and s’mores under the stars.
Also located on the Coquina Lawn’s back corner, the Pirates Stories and Smores is a must! Shows are Thurs-Sunday 6, 6:45 and 7:30 pm.
J was selected to participate in the act and had the best time! We roasted marshmallows by the fire and had a great end to our pirate-filled day!
Other activities included with SummerFest at Gaylord Palms include:
Blackheart’s Treasure Hunt
All across Gaylord Palms, Captain Blackheart stashed priceless pieces from his treasure hoard – including Princess Priscilla’s crown. Pirates and Princesses young and old are
invited to find them at their leisure and earn the right to claim a share of the booty. But beware, there is at least one backstabbing Buccaneer who wants to claim the crown for himself – and rule the Seven Seas!
Shiver me Timbers, it’s Morning Cartoons!
Ahoy, Mates! Kick off your day with your favorite cartoons at the Cypress Springs Pool.
Pirate Invasion Parade
Get bedecked in your finest Pirate or Princess regalia and come join the Pirate Parade as you promenade throughout our Atrium.
First Mate Movies on the Deck
Dive in and escape into the laughter and drama of films old and new played at their poolside screen.
Pack your bags (or treasure chest) and head to Gaylord Palms Resort this summer for the ultimate family experience featuring Princess Blackheart & the Buccaneer Bash!
