Helping Those in Need with Vitamin Angels & Walgreens

For over 20 years Vitamin Angels has been helping at-risk populations (pregnant women, new mothers and children under 5) gain access to life changing vitamins & minerals. In 2014 alone, Vitamin Angels reached 40 million children in 45 countries, and are distributing 300 million vitamins in 2015! That’s an incredible feat and blessing for those in need.

My family is my world, and I do my best to keep them safe and healthy, which is why we take vitamins daily. The boys never give me a hassle because we buy gummy vitamins and they always think it’s a treat first thing in the morning! And with Nate working in the school system, plus both boys enrolled in elementary school, we know taking vitamins is vital to keeping our immune system at it’s best.

We are no strangers to giving back either. We know there are families in need in our community, which is why we give back bimonthly by donating gently used clothes and items, plus food to shelters. It’s hard to find time in our busy days to give back, so we appreciate donation companies that offer pick-up services. Yes – there’s some in your area too! Just call around and see who offers pick-up services. Certain companies will even pick up old furniture for donation too!

Another convenient way to give back is through your purchases. Right now Walgreens and Vitamin Angels are teaming up to bring 100 million mothers and children the essential nutrients and vitamins many of us take for granted. Just head to Walgreens to purchase Centrum multivitamins, and Walgreens will donate a portion of your purchase to Vitamin Angels. How great is that?
