Ingredients
butter, softened
brown sugar
Egg
vanilla extract
all-purpose flour
milk
baking soda
baking powder
salt
finely chopped chocolate from a milk chocolate block (or mini chocolate chips)

Directions
In large bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
In medium bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well.
Stir in the chocolate pieces (or chips).
Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for an hour.
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spoon out 1 1/2 tbsp of dough and roll into a ball.
Press flat using the palm of your hands.
Place cookies on baking sheet at least 1 inch apart.
Bake 9 to 10 minutes until edges begin to brown.
Cool before serving, then indulge!
