Located just 1 mile from Disney World, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress offers and unforgettable experience tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of theme park territory. Surrounded by 21 acres of shimmering lakes and lush landscaping, the resort is an ideal destination for leisure or business travelers looking to unwind.
The 1,500 acre Grand Cypress resort boasts 1,000 feet of white sandy beach on private Lake Windsong, walking paths, free- flowing lagoon pool, and much more. Upon arriving, you are greeted by the Lobby Ambassador (Merlot), who is more than happy to carry on a conversation with you.
The lobby’s 18-story wall of windows gives you an impressive view from each floor. Trellises Lounge located in the lobby is a coffee bar stocked with Starbucks favorites by day, and a full bar with specialty drinks and good company by night. There’s plenty of seating areas to relax and read a book or people watch in the lobby as well.
We stayed in a Buena Vista King room with 360 square feet of stylish comfort. I loved the contemporary design of the room and color choices. It felt like we had stepped into a spa, not our hotel room. The room features a King bed, separate work desk, large flat-screen television, seating area with double sleeper sofa, mini fridge, coffee maker, high-speed internet access, and more. The bed was comfortable, and offered more than enough pillows for a restful night’s sleep.
The details put into the design of the shower alone were very impressive. It includes a rain showerhead, separate shower handle, beautiful tile detail, and plenty of room for 2!
The room offered a balcony view of Lake Buena Vista, the Grand Cypress property, and private Lake Windsong. Talk about a sceneic view! Just off to the left of this picture, we had a view of the Epcot ball, reminding us that we weren’t too far away from the land of Mickey, yet it was still quiet on the property.
We couldn’t wait to walk the grounds. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is not only surrounded with beautiful views, their property is kept in pristine condition with free-flowing water falls, luscious landscaping, and multiple pools both heated and non-heated. I will share all the family friendly activities Grand Cypress has to offer in a later post. Yes, there is so much to cover that it needs its own review post!
The large dining room featured below is Cascade America Bistro which dons an impressive 35-foot tall mermaid fountain. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. We dined there for dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. The filet mignon was delicious!
Another benefit from staying at the Grand Cypress was seeing the Epcot fireworks show from our balcony.
I can not say enough good things about this property. It’s one of my favorite destinations we have ever been to, and that’s saying something considering I’ve been to Jamaica 4 times, and traveled out of the country to Italy and France.
I highly recommend visiting Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress as a couple, like we did, or as a family. Whether you’re planning a visit to the parks, or looking for a quiet property with plenty to do. Look out for my next post where I will share details of the property activities, including 45 holes of award-winning golf exclusively designed by Jack Nicklaus!
