Have you ever caught yourself asking your little one, “can’t you just listen?” Well, if this is a common problem in your household I have just the App for you. Hamaguchi’s Listening Power Preschool trains your little one to listen. Great, right? This learning app comes with 5 different activities that are sure to help increase your child’s auditory skills.
More about Hamaguchi’s Listening App for Preschoolers
The first activity is Listening for Grammar and Meaning. This activity helps your child listen for grammatical elements in language. For example, plurals, verb tenses, pronouns, who/what/where concepts, and preposition concepts. There are three levels of difficulty and 150 grammar questions total for this activity.
The next activity is Listening for Descriptions. This section provides practice in listening for adjectives and descriptive language like colors, sizes, opposites, and emotions.
The third activity, and in my opinion the most important one, Listening for Directions. (I know my wife would be happy if I were better at this). 😉 When your child gets the correct response during this activity there is a short animation to encourage them to keep going. During this activity your child will work with spatial concepts, classroom directions, directions at home, and linguistic concepts.
The last two activities are similar. One focuses on Listening to Stories with pictures, while the other one focuses on Listening to Stories Without Pictures. Like the rest of the activities there are three levels of complexity easy, intermediate, and advanced. The harder the level the more questions are asked and the questions are less obvious.
This app not only helps your child to be a better listener, but it can also provide your child with reading practice. You can do this by going into the settings and turning off narration. When you do this you switch the app from a listening app to a reading app. I really appreciate the versatility of Listening Power Preschool.
My son enjoyed the stories and he liked that it has multiple levels, so when he did well at one level he could challenge himself further. You can try out the lite version of the app for 99 cents, and if you like it you can open up all the options for the price of a 3-D movie ticket, $15.99.
If you are looking for an app that not only helps your child to listen, but also provides reading practice, look no further than Listening Power Preschool!

From what I’ve red this app looks interesting.
It has got 5 functions and its main purpose is to hear through what you have said. Kids sometimes listen but they don’t embed it in their heads.
This app can help them.
Moreover telling the story using pictures is fun. It’s like reading a fairy tale.
