Incredibles 2 Review
In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet , Dash and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
Join Helen, Bob and the kids on a brand new adventure! Times have changed and being a superhero is against the law. What’s the family to do when they hear the Underminer is busy at work stealing all the bank’s money? Jump into action of course, but when things go south, they’re the ones in trouble with the law! Yes, our beloved Incredibles are in big trouble.
Soon they’re packed up and moved to motel life, which is underwhelming at best. But when billionare siblings Evelyn and Winston Deavor summon Frozone, Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible to share a plan designed to ultimately make Supers legal again, they’re all ears. Evelyn is the techie while Winston is the master salesman. Soon the family is living the lavish lifestyle in one of the Deavor’s many properties. The smart home is decked out with water features, moving floors and hidden rooms.
The Devor’s believe Elastigirl has the best shot of swaying the police and ambassadors to legalize Supers again, so they put her to work. Soon she’s helping stop a runaway train in her brand new shiny Elasticycle and uniform too! (Edna isn’t pleased)
Incredibles Jack Jack steals the show!
While mom’s off fighting crime Bob is left home to man the household duties, but he’s discovered something interesting about Incredibles Jack Jack! We all know how babies can keep us up at night, right? When Bob nods off on the couch, the youngest family member has his way with a robber racoon digging in their trash. Oh boy does this scene offer a lot of laughs!
During that hilarious scene we learn just how many superpowers baby Jack Jack has. While not fully developed, Jack Jack goes from invisibility to demon baby to laser beam eyes in a matter of seconds. Incredibles Jack Jack is quite pleased with his powers too! Bob wakes up to discover the fight and finds himself holding multiple Jack Jacks. When Helen calls to check in, he can’t find the words to tell her. The other kids soon learn about his powers and Bob calls for reinforcements from Frozone and Edna soon after.
Edna is stuck babysitting Jack Jack while Bob can finally get some R&R. She creates the perfect super suit for Jack Jack and all 15+ of his powers. (I lost count) LOL.
Soon the entire Incredibles family plus Frozone find themselves fighting against Screenslaver, a mysterious danger that hypnotises everyone through TV screens and special glasses. Along the way, we meet a group of heroes who come out of hiding to support the return of Supers fighting crime. The breathtaking picture quality of this film, along with the amazing storyline and laugh out loud comedy makes Incredibles 2 a huge hit! This is definitely a film you’ll want to see in the theaters – and it’s great for the entire family too!
