Do your kids love building toys, science, or crafts? This Klutz Maker Lab DIY Cannon kit is under $25 and loads of fun for kids ages 8 and up! Kids will explore physics while constructing a moveable, air-powered cannon then fire away at the included targets inside the activity kit. Nate and L had a blast (pun intended) making this fun STEM project – check out all the details below!
This post is part of a sponsored campaign for Klutz. I received compensation for my participation, but my review and opinions are my own.
Klutz Maker Lab DIY Cannon Kit
Using the included easy to follow instructions booklet, my husband and 7 year old crafted this fun DIY cannon then took turns knocking over the targets. The science kit consists of brightly colored chipboard pieces which are sturdy papers that mold into the air blast cannon, along with plastic fasteners, tubes, foam darts, and more. L thought it would be funny to use the colored syringes as doctor shots on daddy while crafting the kit. It allowed for some laugh out loud moments.
I really liked that the kit didn’t require tape or glue or anything messy like glitter. It’s a great non-messy craft for kids!
It took the boys roughly 30 minutes to master the Klutz Maker Lab activity and then it was time to play!
Using the mechanics of pneumatics, and the physics of projectiles, this STEM activity offers a great educational component disguised as fun!

We’re looking forward to testing out some of Klutz Maker Lab’s other activity kits like Circuit Games and the Gumball Machine craft!
