About Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle:
In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji –Jumanji plays you. They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever…
Four high school teens are sent to detention where they come across an old Jumanji video game. The kids opt for testing out the game instead of the requested ask from their principal. Who wants to remove staples from old magazines anyway? Boring!
Soon the foursome are sucked into the game as their selected avatars. The geekiest kid in school becomes the buffest adventurer aka Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), while the prettiest girl in school becomes Professor Shelley Oberon aka Jack Black. Jack Black pulls off a whiny high school teenager really well!
After the kids get over their new appearances, they’re met by a guide in the game who informs them of their task; beat the game or be stuck in it forever. They soon learn of the many evils in the jungle, and that they only have three lives before it’s game over. They must work together to beat the game and survive!
It’s like a one, two punch, plus a kick with funnymen Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart at the helm. Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle provides plenty of laugh out loud moments, and intense scenes to keep the movie entertaining throughout. The film is rated PG-13 and includes strong language with adult humor. This is one movie you don’t want to miss seeing in theaters!
