About Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Review
With the help of billionaire, Benjamin Lockwood, Claire and Owen make their way to the park’s site off Costa Rica where they’re greeted with an army of support…or is it? Lockwood’s right-hand man wants Claire’s help saving 12 dinosaur species so they can be placed on a private island with no volcanos and no humans. The team doesn’t realize the imminent danger they’re in due to the volcano’s hot lava taking over the entire island. The dinosaurs must be saved!
They’re especially interested in locating the velociraptor, Blue, who animal behaviorist Owen raised from infancy. Once Claire and her techy colleague get the system up and running, Owen heads out to the jungle to find her. That’s when the trouble begins!
Through a series of twists and turns Owen is left fighting for his life, alone. He manages to narrowly escape the burning lava and find Claire and her tech sidekick who’ve just had their own heart thumping encounter with a dinosaur. But the excitement isn’t over yet….the team of three soon find themselves in a herd of dinosaurs all going in the same direction – away from the volcano eruption! They make it to the boat docks in a daring escape and hide out among the rest of the crew who were supposed to be there to help them.
Back on land Claire and Owen find themselves back at Lockwood’s monumental estate where the crew’s managed to transport all of the dinosaurs from their cages into cells three floors underground. Lockwood’s granddaughter, Maisie, has a real love for dinosaurs and tries to warn her dying grandfather of his misleading partner, Eli Mills. It’s too late. Eli is out for money and a lot of it. The dinosaurs are soon being auctioned off to arms dealers so they can be used as weapons.
With suspenseful scenes, close encounters and daring escapes Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom has your heart pumping from beginning to end. It’s a good thing Chris Pratt’s humor is there to help balance it out. If you’re looking for a thrilling film to see in the movies, this is it! Due to the intensity of the film including a few graphic blood scenes, I highly encourage you to stick with the PG-13 recommendation.
I hope you enjoyed this Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom review. I look forward to seeing what comes next with the Jurassic World franchise!
