I’m excited to announce that I’ve been selected as a LeapFrog Ambassador! As part of the #LeapFrogMomSquad I will have opportunities to share the latest products from the brand with all of you! That means you will get a first look and in depth review of the newest products hitting store shelves. And today we’re jumping into our first review!
Introducing the LeapPad Platinum, Imagicards and Word Whammer!
The LeapPad Platinum Tablet features a 7″ hi-res multi-touch screen and fast processor. With more than 1,000 learning games at your child’s disposal you can feel confident with a product like this in your little ones hands. The tablet also includes Wi-Fi with a kid-safe web browser, allowing kids to browse age-appropriate content handpicked by experts. Another great feature is the parental controls where you can decide what’s okay for your child and what’s not.
The LeapPad Platinum is the most durable tablet to date from LeapFrog! It features a shatter-safe screen and wrap around bumper for extra support. That’s always a plus when you combine tech products and little hands.
The LeapPad grows with your child from age 3-9! The device comes prepped with 10 apps including: Music Player + Songs, Pet Pad Party, Pet Chat, Photo Fun Ultra, 5 Utility Apps and 1 choice download upon sign-up.
My little guy is so excited to have a tablet of his own. He enjoys keeping up with his pet and playing the variety of games within the tablet. The cameras are another favorite too. If your child knows someone with another LeapPad device they can interact in the Pet Chat app with pre-programmed messages. His older brother has the LeapPad Ultra and the boys get a kick out of sharing messages between their pets. I appreciate that all of the games are safe for kids and age appropriate – plus they provide a fun learning experience!
Our LeapFrog package included Imagicards with character favorites like Leap, Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol. Combining the LeapPad Platinum with the Imagicards brings the characters to life on the screen. Each pack includes 30+ curricular cards that extend play beyond a traditional tablet game.
When your child uses the camera within the app, they’re able to hover over the different cards to unlock magical gameplay. Both boys absolutely love the Imagicards and app! And I appreciate that they offer reading and mathematics functions within the game. It’s a win-win!
Paw Patrol Imagicards allow kids ages 3-5 to learn curriculum including:
- Number Recognition
- Counting, Shapes, Patterns
- Addition and Subtraction
Leap Letter Factory has curriculum geared towards kids ages 4-7:
- Phonics, Spelling
- Consonants, Word Sounds
- Sight Words
Ninja Turtles Imagicards are for children 5-8 with curriculum including:
- Addition, Subtraction
- Multiplication & Division
- Fractions
- Number Composition

My niece loves her leappad, in fact when she has done something bad, it gets taken away, and then it is like the end of the world for her.

This looks so neat! My son had one when he was younger. This looks like the perfect gift for my two year old twins, I’ve been wanting a big gift for them for Christmas. I think they will learn so much!
