LeapReader by LeapFrog is the complete learn to read and write solution for kids. With LeapReader, kids will sound out words and read sentences, learn to write letters with interactive guidance, and listen to audio books, music and more on-the-go.
The LeapReader solution includes three essential experiences:
- Learn to Read: Sounds out words, reads sentences, and lets kids play games and puzzles.
- Learn to Write: LeapReader gives children interactive guidance as they practice writing letters and numbers on special mess-free writing paper.
- Learn through Listening: Audio books, learning songs and trivia challenges build comprehension skills and vocabulary.
The boys are really into reading. I’m sure it helps having a dad who is a teacher and often encourages a learning environment. And since the boys are very tech-savvy, we knew the #LeapReader Reading and Writing System would be a great learning tool for them. We also invited 5 friends over after school to join us in learning about the all-new LeapReader system.
With any good party, you must have snacks! Using fun cupcake liners for fruit cups, I paired them with a two ingredient dessert and fruit dip (included below). Along with bite sized crackers, cookies, and juice boxes.
The kids chowed down, as expected with seven hungry boys in the house! And the food quickly disappeared.
After letting the kids burn some energy in the playroom, we then moved onto the main event, the LeapFrog LeapReaders.
The boys took turns trying out the LeapReaders, while the Moms looked on and read more about the Read and Write System . My two-year old was very interested in the LeapReader and loved seeing some of his favorite characters like Lightening McQueen and the Monsters Inc gang in the books.
The LeapReader library includes 150+ books, maps, flash cards, book sets, learn-to-write sets with LeapFrog Learning Paper, audio books, music albums and trivia challenge activities, all developed or approved by LeapFrog’s highly experienced team of learning experts. LeapReader holds audio for up to 40 books or 175 songs at a time, and is backwards compatible with most of the Tag library.
Geared towards kids ages 4 to 8, the LeapReader is available in stores and online nationwide for $49.99 (at the time of this review). It’s on sale for $10 off at amazon.com right now! Here’s what’s included with the LeapReader:
- Available in green and pink
- A sampler book and four apps are included with purchase ($20 value)
- Includes a USB rechargeable battery
- Holds audio for up to 40 books or 175 songs
