Imagine attending Disney On Ice Mickey’s Search Party and being asked to take part in the show. That is exactly what happened to our family, specifically my boys! We had the most magical day ever when the boys were cast in the show for a special interactive opportunity. From ground floor seats we watched the boys in action, and it was the most amazing time! I can’t wait to share all of the details, so keep reading! Plus check out our Disney On Ice Mickey’s Search Party video too.
We were invited as guests for this special opportunity. All opinions are my own.
About Disney On Ice Mickey’s Search Party
Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party brings the magic closer to guests than ever before as beloved characters come to life through unexpected, never-before-seen performances. Through innovation, technology, and participatory elements, the show extends the performance surface beyond the ice to better engage and interact with the audience on a new, transformative level.
During Mickey’s Search Party Guests will embark on a search for clues to find Tinker Bell after Captain Hook tries to capture her magic. As each scene unfolds, compelling storytelling will be delivered through multi-level production numbers by skaters, performers and acrobats alike.
Audiences become part of the narrative as each story unfolds with live host engagement, up-close character interaction, unexpected moments and active audience participation. (That’s what we did!)
The boys Magical Moment as Disney On Ice Mickey’s Search Party Cast Members
Although the Orlando Amway opening performance did not begin until 7:30 pm, we were invited to the arena early for a special backstage tour. Additionally, the boys were treated as royal guests with a rehearsal just for them, character meet and greet, face painting and catered dinner. Feld Entertainment, who is the worldwide leader in live touring family entertainment like Disney On Ice, Monster Jam, Sesame Street Live and more, took the BEST care of us!
When the boys arrived, Feld had a long table awaiting them with special t-shirts and other Disney On Ice treats, along with a headshot so they could feel like the real cast of the show. It was such a touching gesture – they truly thought of everything to make the kids day unforgettable.

Throughout the Disney On Ice performance, families will be swept away by the high-energy show with cutting-edge figure skating choreography and hoverboard tricks on the ice. Kids will recognize all of their favorite Disney characters from films like Coco, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Toy Story, Moana and more!
Some of our favorite parts were the Toy Story ball being tossed around the audience, the fiery scene during Moana, seeing Aladdin and Genie sing and skate, as well as Ariel and Eric do their high flying number.
This was our first experience at ground floor seating and I have to say there is nothing like it! You are literally feet away from all of the cast. You get high fives and lots of personal interaction with Mickey Mouse and pals. We highly recommend ground floor seats for the show!
As you saw in the video above, L had two parts in the performance, he helped the pirates fish for Tinkerbell in the ice, and both boys were selected to hold the very important map for Mickey and Minnie. Without the map, Mickey and pals would not have been able to solve the mystery and release Tink!
This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and one my boys will never forget!
