The Broadway musical Mamma Mia! starring Christine Sherrill and Amy Weaver is an absolute joy from start to finish. Sherrill’s commanding presence and powerhouse vocals bring Donna to life, while Weaver charms the audience with her effervescent energy.

Mamma Mia! Broadway Musical Review
The entire cast delivers memorable performances, but one particular moment involving the gentlemen had the audience in stitches—proof that the humor in this production is as timeless as ABBA’s music.
Speaking of ABBA, the show’s musical numbers are a dazzling celebration of the iconic band’s greatest hits. From “Dancing Queen” to “The Winner Takes It All,” the songs are performed with energy and flair. Be sure to stick around after the curtain call, as the cast delivers a few bonus numbers that will have you dancing on your feet!
One minor critique: the volume of the show was at least three notches too loud, which occasionally overshadowed the performers’ vocals. Once the music began after intermission, I watched the row in front of me and beyond jump from being startled by the volume level.
Overall, Mamma Mia! is a spirited and feel-good experience that leaves you humming ABBA tunes all the way home. Don’t miss it!
