A few weeks ago I shared key points on the importance of keeping your child on a learning path, even during summer months. My post included a few Disney books to consider adding to your child’s reading list. Today I’m suggesting a few additional books to consider adding to your little guy’s list from Disney Publishing.
If your child is a superhero fanatic these two new books from Marvel and Disney are definite must-haves to keep your reader engaged. Marvel X-Men Days of Future Past is a level 3 book and suggested for grades 1-3. It includes suspenseful story lines and character development. The book is full of adventure, just like you would expect from the X-Men movies. The words are larger print, which helps young readers, and includes wonderful illustrations on every page.
X-Men An Origin Story is based on the Marvel comic book series The X-Men. The book follows a young boy named Charles who dreamed he could do many things, and soon learned those dreams were real and he truly did have special abilities. The book is great for young readers and only offers a few sentences per page with large illustrations. Both of these books are treasured not only by my little guys, but my husband too – who is possibly the biggest superhero fan of the house.
You can pick up a copy of the books at stores nationwide and at amazon.com.
The next book to consider adding is Fly and Drive Read-Along Storybook and CD. This book is perfect for younger readers who enjoy hearing sound effects and character voices while reading along. The book includes 4 action packed stories: Cars, Cars 2, Air Mater, and Planes. Plus redeem a bonus E-book: Planes Fire and Rescue, which hits theaters this summer!
Disney’s Fly and Drive Storybook can be found in stores now and at amazon.com.
For other Disney favorites, check out my review of the Frozen Storybook App and books, and Disney Jr books.

Thanks for your recommendations. As a teacher I know how important it is to get your children reading, if they like what they read then they will read more.

My kids would love the Fly and Drive storybook and CD. They love “reading” to themselves and would enjoy listening to the story being read to them.
