If you’ve caught any of my Instagram posts recently, you may have noticed all the beautiful smoothie bowls I’ve been making this summer. They are really easy and fun to make! This latest one is inspired by my favorite Disney princess, Ariel. Check out this Mermaid Smoothie Bowl recipe below!
I promise you they look so cool that even the kids won’t turn their nose up at eating this healthy breakfast.
Mermaid Smoothie Bowl Recipe
As I mentioned above, this smoothie bowl is inspired by The Little Mermaid so I pulled in colors like purple and green which represent Ariel’s mermaid attire before she becomes a human, of course. Isn’t it gorgeous?
The whole point of a smoothie bowl is to mix ingredients as you would for a typical smoothie, but add toppings so it feels more like a decadent dessert – except it’s all wholesome ingredients!
Measurements with easy to follow printable directions are located at the bottom of this post.
Here’s what you need to make this smoothie bowl recipe:
- blueberries
- bananas
- milk (your choice – I prefer almond milk)
- honey
- Greek yogurt
- dried kiwi
- slivered almonds
Yields: 1-2 servings
Directions:
Add frozen blueberries, 1 banana, milk, honey, and Greek yogurt in a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into a bowl.
Top with dried kiwi, slivered almonds, and banana slices. You’re ready to enjoy in less than 5 minutes!
