I have been invited as media to attend these events. Expenses have been paid in exchange for my coverage. All opinions are my own.
The Season 2 Premiere of ABC’s hit drama #Mistresses airs on television tonight at 10pm EST. During my trip to LA last month for the Million Dollar Arm World Premiere, I also had the opportunity to visit the set of Mistresses and meet Jason George, who plays Dominic on the series and also stars as Bailey’s love interest on Grey’s Anatomy, another guilty pleasure of mine!
Yes, I was super giddy to meet him and snap a pic. Can you tell? 🙂 I’ll tell you more about that portion of the Mistresses set visit a little later. The day started with a sneak peek look at the season 2 premiere “Rebuild” before it airs on TV, which by the way is a not to be missed episode!! Although I really wish I could share some spoilers with you all, I have been sworn to secrecy so you’ll just have to tune in tonight.
Next we met and chatted with costume designer Roemehl Hawkins about life on the set and season 2. She mentioned that she once had over 90 wardrobe changes in just 2 episodes! She also gushed over her love for fashion blogs and shared that is how she gets some of her inspiration for costume ideas for the Mistresses ladies. Before leaving, she gave each blogger a beautiful cuff bracelet from jewelry designer Robyn Rhodes.
If you’re a fan of the show these next photos are easy to recognize – April’s shop which is stunning in person. I just love all the thought that goes into creating such a beautiful setting. Many of us girls wished we could shop the store, but we learned they are all loan pieces for the set only.
Okay back to Jason George. 🙂 Not only does this man look incredibly handsome, he’s genuine and down to earth too. He walked us around the set of the law firm office where he and castmate Alyssa Milano, who plays Savi on Mistresses, work and “play.” He talked openly about his personal life with wife and twin children as well.
Remember to grab your best girlfriends for a girls night in and tune in for ABC’s Mistresses at 10pm EST. Here’s a synopsis of the Season 2 Premiere “Rebuild” – Eight months later, Savi, having cheated death, makes the most of her second chance. Karen struggles to rebound from loss, both personal and professional. April’s life gets interesting when old friend, Mickey, returns and pushes her to make some changes and Joss tries her hand at a new job, party planner to wealthy Angelenos.
Here’s some extra special news – the cast will be live-tweeting the premiere! Who’s joining in on the party? Use hashtag #Mistresses to chat along.

Neat. That sounds like it was a good time.

A wonderful escape and not degrading to women at all! Portrays real relationships and life issues that many have and don’t want to admit to the world.
Jennifer H says
Well said Christine!

I haven’t watched this show, either, but can see how the title can be offputting to some. I do like Alyssa Milano, though, since her Who’s the Boss days.
Anne says
I haven’t watched this yet, but we will check it out on netflix and give it a try.
Lisa @ Crazy Adventures in Parenting says
How cool is that? He seems really sweet. I haven’t caught this show yet myself, but I’m a huge fan of Alyssa Milano 😉

He was super friendly. I was surprised. He is a pretty big tv star. 🙂

I Haven’t watched it either because my first and only husband ran around on me often !! so I don’t think i want to watch a show about the same thing i refused to take from my Ex
Jennifer H says
HI Joy, so sorry to hear of your personal experience. I definitely understand your position. Although that’s the title, the show is much more than that, and has some nice eye candy. 🙂
Hanan says
I haven’t seen this show before. Not sure if I like the idea of a show about mistresses…
Jennifer H says
I see how the title can make you second guess, but the show doesn’t glorify it, it’s more of a drama. A good one, with handsome guys in it. 😉
