As a new mom, I was so excited for the opportunity to review the Motorola MBP667CONNECT, which just hit stores this January! Over the last few weeks, I’ve had a chance to test out the Motorola video baby monitor system. The resolution is pretty good in both regular and infrared modes, and I could see details in the image. It has Wi-Fi internet viewing and can be viewed through the Hubble App on your Android or Apple device, and on a computer through the Hubble website. It was pretty easy to follow the steps to connect to both my home Wi-Fi network and then connect it to my Android and laptop too!
Motorola Video Baby Monitor Review
This is partnered post written by guest reviewer, Melissa. All opinions are her own.
One neat feature that I really like (and didn’t know about until I was testing it out) is that you can turn on music from the monitor and it will play through a speaker on the camera in the baby’s room! That way if baby girl is fussy I can try turning on some soft music to help calm her down.
The speaker works well, and I could hear noises and voices from baby girl’s room pretty clearly. It also has a microphone function where you can hold down a button on the monitor and talk, and the baby can hear you through the speaker on the camera. The microphone seemed to cut out some, as my husband would tell me he couldn’t hear everything I was saying, but I’m sure the soothing sound of my voice is calming either way.
The baby monitor has a motion detector, noise detector, and a temperature monitor, all of which can be set up to give notifications through the app when motion or noise is detected, or if the temperature gets out of a certain range. The motion detector seems to be just a tiny bit sensitive as my phone would occasionally give me notifications of movement in an empty room, but not an excessive amount. Another convenient feature is that the display has a kickstand so you’re able to glance over and see baby without having to pick it up.
Motorola MBP667CONNECT features include:
- Wireless Technology
- 8” Diagonal Color Screen
- Room Temperature Display
- Two-Way Communication
- Infrared Night Vision
- Digital Zoom
Because the Motorola video baby monitor is wall mountable, I can position it so it shows the whole crib. It also has a zoom feature where the camera will zoom in one step closer to the center of the image in case I need to take a closer look at my baby girl.
Overall, I would recommend the Motorola MBP667CONNECT to any parent who wants to keep an eye on their bundle of joy from another room, or even while running errands (of course under the watchful eye of dad or another adult). It is definitely going to help give me some peace of mind once baby girl starts sleeping in her own room – all while being affordably priced!
Find the Motorola MBP667CONNECT at big box stores like Target, BuyBuy Baby, Toys R’ Us and online at Amazon.com!

How cool! I don’t know that video baby monitors were a thing yet when my kids were babies (they are 10 and 12). I would have totally had one if I had known about them!

Aww! I can totally see pet owners finding value in cameras too! 🙂
