This was my backup dress. I had planned on a beautiful princess gown, but even with my tallest shoes, it needed hemming. I think things work in mysterious ways though because this dress color was spot on with the Nutcracker’s Land of Flowers Realm – which just happens to be my favorite one! After stopping at the step and repeat to snap a few photos, we headed inside Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms Premiere party. Scroll down for all the details on this amazing event!
I was invited as media to cover this event. All opinions are my own.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Premiere!
Imagine entering a parallel world, as Clara does in the film. That’s exactly how we felt stepping into the magical pre-party for Disney’s Nutcracker! I loved everything from the starry backdrop to the live entertainment and huge carousel with strings in the center. It made a great photo opp! The fun didn’t stop there. Disney had stations set-up throughout the pre-party where you could get a Nutcracker themed hairstyle, a manicure with O.P.I. colors like Tinker, Thinker, Winker and March in Uniform, greenscreen backdrops and much more!
What’s also really exciting is running into amazing talent like Mackenzie Foy and Misty Copeland, who both have roles in the film. I loved that everyone was mingling together, eating delicious food, and enjoying the festivities.
Speaking of celebrities, my blogging friend Chrysa and I bumped into several of them including American Idol 2018 winner Maddie Poppe, “This is Us” Eris Baker, actress Raven-Symoné, and Michael Fishman from “Roseanne” and “The Connors.”
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Premiere party included over-the-top stilt walkers and performers too! It was great entertainment all around.
Located near the inside red carpet were original costumes from the film, including dresses Helen Mirren and Keira Knightley wore while filming. Isn’t that incredible?
Before departing for the world premiere of Disney’s Nutcracker, we loaded up a goody bag of sweets including these oversized lollipops! Yes, everything was over-the-top but perfectly fitting!
I am so thankful to be a part of such an amazing group of online writers and bloggers. These are some very talented ladies!
Disney’s Nutcracker
About the film:
All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms opens in theaters everywhere November 2nd! Check out the trailer below:
