This is a partnered post with Nutrisystem. All opinions are my own and may differ from yours.
I won! I won! I won! I beat my sister! We started our workout competition a week and half before I started Nutrisystem and at that time I weighed in at 243.4 pounds, ouch! This morning I weighed in at 205.6 pounds, so in 12 weeks I have lost 37.8, which is 15.5 % of my old body weight. If I were to lose 15.5% of my body weigh now, I would be around 174 pounds, which in my wife’s words is too skinny for her.
This week I dropped another 2 pounds and now weigh 205 pounds. I am now 20 pounds away from my goal weight, which is 185 pounds. I am feeling so much better than I did before. It is so exciting to put on clothes that haven’t fit in quite some time. I continue to go down belt sizes, and I am pretty close to having to buy new belts altogether.
It was funny when I was putting together last week’s post Jen and I looked at the before and after picture collage and together said “WOW!” Being that she sees me every day it didn’t really hit her how much weight I had actually lost, in the last 10 weeks, until she saw the comparison.
I am very thankful to Nutrisystem for giving me this opportunity to review their diet plan, and as you can tell it has definitely made a big impact on me physically, but also mentally as well. I am more aware of what I can eat and the portions that go along with that. Before I might have gone to a restaurant and ordered a 12 ounce steak at ate the whole delicious thing with loaded mashed potatoes and a couple of beers, but now I know that I do not need all of that, so I can either cut the meal in half and order a side of steamed broccoli, or save some money and get the 4 ounce or 6 ounce sirloin.
I have never eaten so many vegetables in my life, and this plan has taught me the value of eating healthier by adding at least 4 cups of vegetables to my daily diet. Exercise is also vital, it is so important to at least get 30 minutes of daily activity. Whether you go to the gym and hit the weights, or use cardio equipment at home, it needs to be done. I prefer using the treadmill and watching movies, but you could also watch recorded shows with your tablet, or read a good book. It is best to get off of the couch and spend your time burning calories than wasting your time in front of the TV like I used to do.
Next week is my final week on the Nutrisystem my way plan and I will share my results. I have learned a lot in the last 11 weeks, and I know for the first time in my life that this is not the end of my weight loss journey, but a new beginning. Thank you for joining me!

Way to go, Nate! Some people think that it is impossible to change your life in 12 weeks, but you are proving them wrong. The veggies worked, didn’t they 🙂
