My husband and I took a journey to Neverland at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for opening night of the Peter Pan Broadway Musical. This timeless musical, which has captivated audiences for generations, was remarkably brought to life, largely due to Nolan Almeida’s charismatic portrayal of the iconic character.

Peter Pan Broadway Musical Review
About the show: The adventure begins when Peter Pan and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinker Bell, visit the bedroom of the Darling children late one night. With a sprinkle of fairy dust and a few happy thoughts, the children are taken on a magical journey they will never forget. This extraordinary musical full of excitement and adventure, features iconic and timeless songs including “I’m Flying,” “I Gotta Crow,” “I Won’t Grow Up” and “Neverland.”
From the moment Almeida stepped onto the stage, his boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm swept the audience off their feet. One of the most memorable aspects of Almeida’s performance was his stage presence. Whether he was leading the Lost Boys in a daring escapade or engaging in a spirited sword fight with Captain Hook, Almeida commanded the stage with confidence and finesse.
The supporting cast also shines in their respective roles, from the loyal and courageous Wendy Darling to the dastardly Captain Hook and his bumbling crew of pirates. Each character brings their own unique flair to the story, adding depth and dimension to the vibrant tapestry of Neverland.
One of the standout features of this production is the stunning choreography and aerial acrobatics that bring the magic of flight to life. As Peter and his companions soar above the stage, accompanied by a soaring musical score, the audience is transported to a world where dreams take flight and anything is possible.
But perhaps the true magic of the Peter Pan Broadway Musical lies in its timeless message about the power of belief, friendship, and the importance of holding onto the wonder of childhood.
