This is the best Pokemon game, ever! I received a special Nintendo delivery that just happened to arrive on my 11th birthday. I could not wait to get into the Pokemon Legends: Arceus game and share my thoughts with everyone!
This is a partnered post. My 11-year-old son wrote today’s review post. All opinions are his own.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus Nintendo Switch Game Review
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is the first Pokemon game of its kind. You begin by coming out of a space-time rift and the professor greets you as he chases the three starter Pokemon: Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott which differ from their normal regions.
It has Pokemon environments including Coronet Highlands, Cobalt Coastlands, Crimson Mirelands, Obsidian Fieldlands, and many more. You’ll join Team Galaxy to discover Pokemon and finish the Pokedex.
During this game, the Pokeballs look much different than modern-day Pokeballs. You have an option to craft and make new Pokeballs and heal items within the game. In the wild, Pokemon can attack you and you have the possibility of losing items. Additionally, you’ll come across merchants in the game that sells you items.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus has overworld Pokemon catching which is very different than traditional Pokemon games. There’s Frenzied Noble Pokemon, and shiny Pokemon to catch too. I was so excited to catch my first – shiny Tangela which changed from purple to green.
There’s a new feature in this game called mass outbreaks which makes it easier to finish your Pokedex entries and catch shiny Pokemon. There are also two different attack styles if you’ve mastered a move. All of these elements together make this one of the best Pokemon games of all time!
I have only been playing Pokemon Legends: Arceus for about 2 weeks. I am really enjoying it. I may come back and add more to this post as I continue playing.
If you or your child is a Pokemon fan, this is a must-buy Nintendo game! Buy it here!
