Razor Clam Ceviche Recipe
The Basics of Razor Clam Digging
Razor Clam digging is a fun sport for many. My SIL lives on the west coast and enjoys partaking in this beachside activity annually.
The thrill of clam digging lies in the hunt for these creatures, which often bury themselves beneath the sand. To get started, all you need are a few basic tools: a clam shovel or specialized clamming fork, a bucket to collect your bounty, and a keen eye for spotting telltale dimples on the surface of the sand. These depressions are the subtle indicators of a razor clam beneath.
These clams are swift and can quickly burrow deeper into the sand if they sense vibrations or disturbance. The challenge lies in carefully and swiftly extracting the clam before it escapes your grasp.
If you’re lucky enough to catch a bucket full of fresh razor clams you can easily whip up this delicious ceviche recipe! You can always opt for getting them from a local fish market or store if you’re not interested in clam digging. Now onto that recipe!
