Safe Start Electric Kids Scooter Review

 

 

One of the coolest new products to hit store shelves this fall is the Safe Start Scooter for kids. Created by Pulse Performance Products, a brand leader in high performance scooters, the Safe Start Scooter is a first of its’ kind, offering an electric component for kids ages three and older.

We had the opportunity to test out this new ride and were quite impressed! Parents car rest assured with the safety of this three wheel scooter.

There are a total of 5 safety features encompassed within the Safe Start Kids Scooter:

• Steering limiter: Safe maneuverability. Young or inexperienced riders can easily steer the scooter, controlling the turns of the sidewalk or driveway while remaining safely balanced. With the steering limiter built-in, riders won’t be able to make sharp turns or over-steer.
• Gradual takeoff: Ideal for young riders, there is no abrupt take off when starting the electric scooter, thanks to the innovative push button throttle. It gently starts the motor to reach a comfortable driving speed without any sudden movement or jerk.

• Wide track: The stable three-wheel design with the wide front wheelbase keeps riders balanced, while the overall deck shape provides maximum stability with every turn so riders won’t tip over.
•  Low stance: The comfortable low deck height not only makes getting on and off the scooter safer for younger kids, but also makes it easier to ride and maneuver.
•  Deck stability: Young riders often prefer to stand facing forward with both feet together. The wide, generous deck accommodates that and many other foot positions. The top grip surface provides a safe, non-slip foot bed to keep little feet from slipping off while riding.

Our thoughts:

The 1 push start and stop button makes this simple for young kids to operate. Both boys, ages 3 and 6, really enjoy riding the electric scooter. I appreciate the safety features and see that Pulse really put a lot of thought into creating a safe ride for young kids with this product. Although the scooter offers a wide deck and stability, kids still learn how to manuever and balance while on three wheels. The Safe Start Scooter moves at one comfortable speed; about as quickly as an adult taking a brisk walk. I think this is an excellent product for younger kids to enjoy when keeping up with older siblings or their parents.

My boys love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I do too! The Safe Start Kids Scooter comes in a variety of favorite characters like Disney Princesses, Frozen, Spider-Man and more!

The Safe Start Scooter easily charges with a wall plug-in, just like you would other electronic devices. It has an approximate run time of 40 minutes, and is safe for riders 50 lbs or under.
