Courageous, shocking, powerful are all words to describe Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – Episode IX. You won’t find any spoilers here, don’t worry! We’re sharing what we can about the climactic conclusion in this Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Review.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Review
Viewers are taken on an epic journey to a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The riveting conclusion of the seminal Skywalker saga where new legends will be born and the final battle for freedom is yet to come. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens in U.S. theaters on December 20.
The film stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, and Billy Dee Williams.
If the good people know there’s hope they will come. The rivalry comes to ahead in The Rise of Skywalker with a good versus evil battle. The film takes place not long after The Last Jedi and is full of nostalgic moments leading up to this momentous war that leaves you both excited and torn.
Rey finds her way. Scavenger-turned-Jedi Rey, Resistance leader Poe Dameron, and former stormtrooper Finn along with a group of scrappy rebels are tracking down a threat that’s linked to villain Kylo Ren. Through Rey and Kylo Ren’s mysterious connection – which is uncovered in this final film – they both struggle with their own personal light and dark sides. Will Rey take Kylo Ren’s hand this time?
It rose to the occasion. The film covers a lot of ground in the two and a half hour run-time. There’s so much action and intensity that you may need to see it twice to get the full impact. (I know I am!) There’s A LOT going on. There are also beautiful tributes to past Star Wars characters. Bring tissues! My hat’s off to J.J. Abrams and team for pulling off an incredibly detailed film – it’s stunning – with a strong emphasis on girl power!
