Summer of Heroes at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park
California Adventure Park is suiting up for summer! Due to Marvel’s popular franchise of superhero films, the theme park has been taken over by guest’s favorite characters, like Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Widow, and more! Experience these epic moments all summer long through September 10th!
Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!
The first thing you’ll want to do when visiting California Adventure Park is their newest ride Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission BREAKOUT!
Formerly the Tower of Terror ride, Mission: Breakout! has been revamped into Taneleer Tivan. The Collector has imprisoned the Guardians in his tower and guests help Rocket break the other Guardians out. I shot some video while waiting in the queue that I’ll be adding to this post, so stayed tuned.
Summer of Heroes Food & Beverage
Like all Super Heroes, you need the right fuel and training to make it through the day. Power up with Groot-shaped bread, available in sourdough and jalapeno-cheddar flavors, or with The Most Dangerous Tacos in the Galaxy.
The Summer of Heroes food and beverages are at 6 different locations in the Hollywood Land area of the park. Other specialty foods you can find there are Savory Strength Falafel Pita, The Angry Little Pudding Cup, Super Size Subs, Space Outpost Tacos, Gamma-Sized Donuts and Bifrosties (shave ice with fun themed flavors).
Avengers Training Initiative
Kids ages 6-12 can train and perfect their skills with Black Widow and Hawkeye in the Avengers Training Initiative! Eager participants enter the training arena where they’ll be mentored to become an Avenger. Make sure to sign up early for this popular attraction. Avengers Training Initiative is performed at the Hollywood Backlot Stage in Hollywood Land.
Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Dance Off
Join this high energy dance party with Guardians of the Galaxy themed tunes! Look for Star-Lord, Gamora and Groot during this fun event!
Younger family members may enjoy the all-new Disney Junior Dance Party!
