It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s Superman! I grew up reading Superman comic books, watching Lois and Clark on TV, and Christopher Reeve donning the red cape in the movie theaters. I loved Superman so much that I would dress up like Clark Kent and go to school and church with my Superman costume underneath my apparel, just waiting to be exposed to the world. With the arrival of the new Superman movie, “Man of Steel“, I couldn’t wait to take my oldest son to see it in theaters. Over Father’s day weekend we saw the movie and thought it was awesome. Yes, they did change his back story a bit, but I thought the action and how he came to be Superman was brilliant. Henry Cavil a.k.a. the new Superman sold me, and I look forward to a sequel!
Because of my love for all things Superman I was super excited when our family got the chance to review the new Flying Heroes toy line from The Bridge Direct.
It couldn’t have been better timing on the day we received the Flying Superman toy, as our little guy was wearing his very own superman t-shirt and cape.
It was so easy to use. You can blast Superman into the air with ease. All you have to do is grip it and rip it! Then watch Superman spin around and launch up in the air some twenty feet depending on how hard you pull. The one downfall that I saw was at times the cord does get stuck. I found that by putting the character back into the mount and turning it helps bring the cord back to its original position so it can be pulled correctly.
My little ones really liked to see how high they could get Superman in the air and because of the soft material that they used you don’t have to worry about getting hurt if the toys hits them while it is spinning on the mount. They also loved trying to catch him as he floated down to the ground, and even as an adult I found the toy entertaining.
The Flying Heroes line features Superman, Batman, and Spiderman characters, and can be found at Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R’ Us, and K-Mart retailing for just $16.99. But the great people at The Bridge Direct have agreed to give a Superman Flying Hero action figure away to one lucky My Boys and Their Toys reader, so enter below for a chance to win.
