On Monday my 6-year-old started the 2nd grade at a new school! Yes – you read that right. If you’re curious, read the full scoop on why he skipped a grade. He couldn’t be more excited for school to begin, but mommy was a nervous wreck. I sure love having him around! However, I’m very proud of my big boy. 🙂
What a year it has been! I am so proud of my little man for excelling in school, even after skipping a grade. He was sad to say goodbye to his friends and teacher for summer break, especially since he will be switching schools. But the good news is, he’ll be attending the same school as Daddy, so that’s something for him to look forward to. Here is a picture of him on the first and last day of this school year. His baby face has definitely changed some, but he’s still my sweet boy.
Happy Birthday to the coolest kid I know! I am so lucky and proud to be your mom. You are incredibly sweet, funny, outgoing, thoughtful, creative, and highly intelligent. You amaze me more every day. Plus you’re the best big brother ever! We love you little man to infinity and beyond. XOXO
Did you ever play in the sprinklers growing up? I sure did, so this brings back memories. This weekend I asked Nate to turn them on so the boys could run through them. They decided to use their foam swords to try to “defeat” the evil sprinklers. LOL!
Tuesday – “I hate naps,” says the little monster who I found fast asleep on the couch a few minutes later.
