Do you fight your vacuum to clean your floors? Well, that’s about to change! Say goodbye to your heavy vacuum because the Shark Rocket Powerhead is here. Weighing in at just 9 lbs (not including the cord), nearly half the weight of the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball, this vacuum promises to never lose suction and be a powerhouse at heavy-duty cleaning.
While attending the Blogher conference in New York earlier this year, I had the opportunity to see the Shark Rocket Powerhead in action – before it hit stores! As a Shark® product fan, already reviewing their Shark Sonic Duo floor cleaning system, I was excited to get my hands on their latest product.
The Shark Rocket Powerhead is backed by a 5 year warranty and offers a slew of features, including breakthrough engineering technology. Most traditional vacuums pull dirt up a long, twisting tube (usually the handle). With all of the components in the head, the Shark Rocket Powerhead significantly reduces the airflow path from floor to dust cup for optimal efficiency.
The Powerhead also is the first of its kind with “car hood” style brushroll access—with removable and rinsable brushrolls—making vacuum maintenance quick and easy.
Simple pop out the brushroll and store it in the on-board holder for easy access. A great tip Shark shares when cleaning the brushroll is to follow the grooves with a pair of scissor to remove hair and other debris, then discard those in the trash.
With two powerful floor-cleaning settings in the handle, you can quickly switch from LO to HI when cleaning any floor surface. There’s also a suction release button near the foot pedal that can assist with the push and pull on high-pile carpets. Just remember to close that feature once you move to a different surface for maximum suction.
The multi-position telescoping handle offers easy storage by using the height adjust button. And the swivel steering makes it really easy to maneuver over any floor space. I also like that the vacuum head is small enough to fit under my kitchen cabinets and other furniture pieces for maximum cleaning. With only 9 lbs of weight (not including the cord), and 1 lb in hand, the Shark Rocket Powerhead is really easy to use, especially when moving from room to room and upstairs.
Find the Shark Rocket Powerhead in all major retailers and amazon.com.

I love how they designed the shark vacuum. Fun colors too! Love that the brush head pops out for easy cleaning. (Good scissors tip too!). I know what I’m putting on my wish list this year! 🙂

I have never own or use a shark vacuum. Is this one pretty easy to push? My mother in law has a hard time using the one I have.

I have a Shark Vacuum and a hand held. They are really great quality and maintain good suction. Plus, I love all the attachments.

With my bad arthritis, I need something lightweight. I love my current Shark vacuum for that reason! They are great.

I think I saw this being demoed at Pepcom a few months ago and I was quite impressed by its capability. The fact that it only weighs 9 lbs. is definitely a plus.
