Over summer break my 11-year-old son came to me with an idea. He wanted to make money to save for college. He’s too young to work outside of the home so I sent him off to brainstorm ways he could make money. Within hours he was building a spin art machine from scratch and got to work! I am so very proud of him! Check out his spin art pieces below.
The Spin Art Kid #SpinArtKid
He has big dreams of becoming a computer engineer. At a very young age, he knew what he wanted to do and as time has gone on he continues to have a passion for STEM. His goal is to enter the STEM program once in high school to continue his lifelong path.
He is excelling in school, not only skipping a grade but continually getting straight A’s and high achievements in school. We couldn’t be prouder!
What child thinks of saving for college at age 11?! This kid apparently. He already has a college savings account in place, so with each sale of his spin art pieces, the funds are being transferred into his account.
Spin Art Pieces
The spin art pieces are made by him and placed in an 8 by 8 white metal frame. Every art piece is unique and different! They only cost $20 + a small shipping fee. To make a donation to his college fund by purchasing a cool spin art piece, head to my shop and scroll down to click the “buy my art button” under his section.
He’s sold several pieces already – including one that’s being displayed in the White House! He almost fainted when I told him that! New art pieces are added each week in the shop. He’s also added a custom color option where you can choose 2-3 colors for a special art creation. These can be your favorite team colors, school colors, etc!
We hope you’ll head over and check out the #SpinArtKid! His art is really neat!

Great job! I love these! You must be a proud Mom. It’s hard to find, in this day and time, a young man with so much ambition. Kudos to you!
It is all a reflection on what a great Mom you are.
