See why this Banana Boat food craft is easy and fun for kids!
Banana Boat Recipe
This simple snack has been a HUGE hit with my boys for several years now. All you need is a few ingredients and less than 5 minutes to create this snack favorite!
First grab some bananas, along with yogurt and fruit toppings of your choice. We chose blueberries and strawberries for our banana boat. Whipped cream is optional or anything else you’d like to throw on it like granola clusters or even cookie pieces, like in the photo above.
Measurements with easy to follow printable directions are at the end of the post.
Next, cut a very thin layer off the bottom of the banana so it lays flat without rolling on the plate. Then make a cut from one end of the banana to the other so you can fill it with all the yumminess!
Slice the fruit into small pieces and let the kids craft their own boat.
This is simple and fun, plus delicious to eat! Anytime we can get the kids excited about eating healthy is a plus, am I right parents??
My lil man couldn’t be more proud of his masterpiece! (Too bad Mommy’s camera flash was not interested in cooperating.)

That’s adorable! and an appropriate size – not too huge! I still remember my first banana sundae when I was teeny, I wanted it very much, my dad was hesitant, I still remember how sick I felt trying to eat 3 scoops with whipped cream and toppings! This is perfect!
