Get ready for an all-new show hitting Disney Channel tomorrow night! Bunk’d takes place at Camp Kikiwaka and stars “Jessie” stars Emma, Ravi, and Zuri! The kids have left their NY penthouse for a summer in rustic Maine, where their parents met as teens.

The kids, now CITs (Counselors In Training), must learn the ropes from the overly cheerful head counselor Lou and the camp heartthrob, Xander. Zuri makes new friends with two younger campers, the uptight Tiffany and compulsive fibber Jorge. The camp’s owner is Gladys and she’s even scarier than the legendary creature that’s rumored to stalk the grounds, and with help of her sneaky niece Hazel, she’s out to get the Ross kids because of her decades-old rivalry with their mom. Along with their new friends, Emma, Ravi and Zuri adapt to their new “home away from home” and settle into their exciting new lives at Camp Kikiwaka.
Camp KikiWaka Set Visit
We had a chance to visit the set of the new show, chat with the cast, and watch a partial run-through of an upcoming episode. When stepping on set, we were surrounded by familiarities of summer camp. We made our way to Camp Kikiwaka’s mess hall to sit down and chat with the tv cast. In addition to the Jessie cast we spoke with Miranda May (Lou), Kevin Quinn (Xander), Nina Lu (Tiffany) and Nathan Arenas (Jorge).
Miranda May and Peyton List, featured in the first picture below, shared that they are close off-set. Mentioning that they usually bunk (pun intended) at each other’s house at least once a week.
Quiet on the set! We heard that a lot during our Q&A and picture sessions. The cast was taking turns shooting promos for Disney Channel Canada. It was neat to step on set for an afternoon and see a day in the life for these young actors. The talent was absolutely adorable and fun to chat with! They were equally excited to meet all of us too!
The Disney Channel “Jessie” spin-off, Bunk’d, premieres Friday at 10pm, following Descendants!
