We've Grown by Two! Meet our Rescue Kittens

If you haven’t seen our recent updates on Facebook or Instagram – our family has grown by two! A little less than 2 weeks ago we found a bundle of baby kittens hidden in our backyard. As the rain and freezing temps were rolling in, we attempted to rescue them all, but only two went willingly. These rescue kittens chose us! 🙂

Meet our Rescue Kittens

Meet Marshmallow and Fanta! We’ve created a TikTok channel just for them. These fun-loving tabby kittens will make your day! You can follow their journey as 5-week-old kittens as they grow up here at our home.

Yesterday was their first visit to the vet where we learned they are both boy kittens! Go figure….a mom with 5 boys in the house now! Just my luck. Haha!

Marshmallow – Marshy for short – is the alpha kitten for sure. The day we rescued them, Fanta (the fuzzball) was very timid and scared. Marshmallow laid on Fanta all night long to keep him calm. He was the protector. Now they are both comfortable with us and their new home.

Fanta follows Marshy wherever he goes. These rescue kittens love to play and wrestle. Typical boys, I tell ya.

Our youngest son has had a rough bout of anxiety that’s progressed into OCD over the school year. We’ve done a ton of research on rescue animals and their benefits including reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

We were contemplating (and praying) about adding to our family, so these rescue kittens were meant to be! They are already making a big difference in our lives, plus they are cute as can be!

This is our first time owning furry pets. We’ve had fish and turtles in the past. So hit us with your favorite treats, toys, and more for our baby kittens.
